Merchant and Online Sellers FAQs

To easily identify differing requirements, Cashsense defines:

  • Merchant – eCommerce partners with full online IT resources and capabilities
  • Online Seller – entrepreneurs and social network sellers with need of a shopping cart and payment gateway

Merchants with full IT resources may integrate with Cashsense whilst Online Sellers may complete processes themselves utilizing online user interfaces – including the publishing of items on the Cashsense Online Shopping Mall.

How soon can I start using Cashsense?    

Merchant

Minimal coding is required and merchants may expect to go live within 3-5 days. Cashsense's standard Application Programming Interface (API) is available upon request.

Online Seller

You will go live as soon as you register as a Cashsense Online Merchant and link your items to the Cashsense Shopping Cart. A Step-by-Step Linking Guide is available at the Resource Download Center or upon request.

Can Cashsense provide me marketing material etc.?    

Logos, links, documents, banner ads and additional material is available at the Download Resource Center. Cashsense will also be pleased to accomodate individual requests for specific, tailored material.

How do shoppers pay for items?    

At checkout, shoppers will receive instructions via:

   
Sample Order Confirmation eMail
Sample SMS Notification
  • On-page display, and
  • eMail, and
  • SMS (when mobile number is provided)

Shoppers are not required to:

  • Register with Cashsense, or
  • Provide proof of payment to merchants

 

How will I know that shoppers have paid?    
Merchants
  Details of all payment transactions are captured and recorded in real time. Cashsense will work with merchants in order to provide detailed reports configured to individual corporate requirements.
   
Online Sellers
  Orders page: Displays all orders placed with the merchant within the current settlement period.
   
  Payments page: Displays all orders for which payments have been received.
  Orders/Payments pages may be accessed from My Account - the default landing page following Merchant log-on.
Can Cashsense deliver goods to my customers?    

Online Sellers

Cashsense is integrated and partnered with 2Go which has been providing Cashsense customers with efficient and timely delivery services since 2007.

The option to offer 2Go delivery services may be decided by the online seller on an item-by-item basis. Upon checkout, online shoppers may then choose whether or not to have items delivered. The appropriate charge will be added to their total.

How and when will I receive settlement?    

Funds collected on behalf of merchants will be credited by Cashsense to Merchants’ eWallets at 9:00 AM daily on banking days. Updated balances will be displayed in “My Account”.

  Items delivered electronically 3 banking days from date of payment
  Items delivered physically 5 banking days from date of payment

These settlement cycles allow:

  • Funds collected in outlets and paid to Cashsense to be cleared
  • A window for customers to raise any delivery etc. issues

From "My Account", merchants may transfer funds from their eWallet to their:

  • Cashsense VISA ATM card
  • Registered bank account

Upon registration (or subsequently) merchants will have the option to order an ATM card and/or register their bank account.

Can my customers obtain refunds via Cashsense?    

Customers may receive refunds via pick-up from any MLhuillier branch nationwide. Cashsense will process refunds upon written request from the merchant. It should be noted that failure to change the in-stock/out-stock status of an item may be considered cause for refund if a shopper fails to receive their items and subsequently complains.
